Just don't forget that some of us are software developers.
Knowing how people cracking various software will help us
plumbing our own products's security holes ;-)
BTW, what detected while serializing a software is not
only BIOS "serial number", but the whole system configuration
"digital fingerprint". Changing anything on your PC most
likely will be detected as tampering attempt, and you should
re-registering your software. Until now (IMHO), the most
convenient copy protection method is "dongle". A piece of
hardware that should be connected to your PC's serial or
parallel port when using the software. It also happen to
be the most secure... :)
