Well, couldn't this be the big green button somwhere on the lower
right part of the front panel ? <g>
More serious: My "big" machine, when shut down with the "sleep"
function, sucks 17 W (and with the OFF of ATX still 7 W - most of this
probably because the monitor is not really OFF then but in standby).
Even in phases of intensive use, it's at best active some 8 to 10
hours in a strech, and sometimes not used at all for several days.
So, counting for everage use of 6 hours daily, putting it at "sleep"
would simply waste about 100 kWh per year, switching it off per ATX
would still suck some 40+ kWh p.y. (at current prices and exchange
rates here, 1 kWh is quite precisely 1 US$).
