i never tried playing mp3s in win3.11, so i don't know... but a multitasking
in win3.11 isn't pre-emptive, that's why Win95's multitasking should *in
theory* be better.  But i don't agree on what you say about the P166MMX.. i
mean, my P120 runs Win95, Win98 SE and Linux and i played mp3s under all of
these OSes... and i've had no problem at all... the other stuff which is
executing just goes slower... but this could also have to do with another
memory configuration and blablabla...

right :)  games are the main reason i keep windows.... games and microsoft
office are the only reasons in fact...
