i have two PCs in running condition. one is a 386 (dos and win 3.1),
and the other is pentium I (win 95).

i was wondering if i could obtain information about connecting the
two so that the processing tasks could be distributed *automatically*
by some sort of distributed OS running under windows 95 and win 3.1.
my purpose is to utilize the idle processing power of my otherwise
low-end machines. and also to go beyond traditional file server and
printer sharing sort of networking.

what i have in mind is a network operating system like Amoeba
[http://www.cs.vu.nl/pub/amoeba/ ]. also has anyone tried Inferno
[http://www.vitanuova.com/inferno/index.html ]?

irfan
