Brain storming: Do you have access to a Windows 3.x og 9.x
computer? If so try an Run Pegasus Mail for Windows with the -Z 32
commandline tag. See HELP | Commandline switches., (can not remember
if PMAIL for Dos can do this, don't think so?)
It means: entering tcp/ip debugging mode. Guess you know how to
enter commands in icon (win.3x) window or properties/shortcut (win
9x) . Should look something like:
c:\pmail\winpm-32.exe -z 32
or
"c:\Program Files\pmail\winpm-32.exe" -z 32
This will record and save all "transactions" (the exchange/ commands/
communication between your Pegasus client and your mail hosts in a
readable plain text file in your mail directory. This should at least
give you a clue about what protocols and/or commands are being used
for the authentication.
Notice if you do this, it will also save your password in readable
form in the debug file - so do not upload it anywhere
without first removing the password!
All the best,
Bjorn
