I would guess on the SCSI card. The most annoying part of this was for me
that the SCSI card was for the CD-R. Until I got the drivers for the card
working (why can't it be just as easy as it is in DOS?) all the drives in
the system were run in "MS-DOS compatible mode". Almost drove me crazy
until I ignored it (after reinstall Windows once more) and went ahead with
the SCSI card instead. And voila, no more problems. Sometimes I wish I
could get my hands around Bills neck, but then I remember that I'm not a
violate man (anymore) ;-)
