I appreciate your effort to act as a peacemaker which is often a thankless task.
You asked if anybody has had contact with Jorge to see if he's having any luck getting rid of the virus. The answer is yes and no - Until last Thursday, I've been exchanging email with Jorge on almost a daily basis. About that time I received a copy of the first of John boy's threats directed at Jorge. But it also appeared that John boy realized that it wasn't any of Jorge's doing - so I let it ride. In fact Jorge is by far the one most hurt by this as his machine is infected and I haven't heard from him since. Then John boy wants to organize a little campaign to have Jorge dropped from the discussion lists - at this point I suggested a little patience and tolerance while Jorge try's to sort out the problem - not always an easy task. John boy then delivers his not so veiled threat to me for daring to suggest NOT ostracizing Jorge. I don't know about the rest of you but I don't have ANY patience or tolerance for threats these days - so if that is damaging to my relationship with John boy or anyone else - so be it. Meanwhile - I believe the reason I haven't heard from Jorge is that he has, in fact, gone off-line voluntarily to fix the problem. At least I hope that's the reason and not because of comments by people who believe that the Internet is their own private playground. Again, Gary, I appreciate your comments . -----Original Message----- From: Garry [SMTP:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] Sent: Saturday, September 29, 2001 10:45 AM To: LifeRaft Cc: Older PC and DOS Internet Forum Subject: Re: [SurvPC] Jorge still has the virus & needs to shut down computer Hey, girls, Let's keep it clean. No kicking, no eye gouging. It's seldom so important to be "right" that we have to do permanent damage to a relationship. Has anyone actually gotten in contact with Jorge and discovered where he is in the process of ridding his computer of the "clap?" ~~Garry [EMAIL PROTECTED] To unsubscribe from SURVPC send a message to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with unsubscribe SURVPC in the body of the message.
