Hi Glenn,

GG> Welcome aboard Michel! Hmm, interested in old DOS stuff? Try my
GG> web site... http:[EMAIL PROTECTED]/...
I've paid a visit to your ~WEB~ site before you mention it since my
reading of this mail-list allowed me to see your post about an alternate
~FTP~ client for the Class-1/~EtherNet~ `Waterloo'-compatible DOS client
se get from `FTP07.ZIP' or `Apps.ZIP' (the later works better for me)...
I don't know what you're trouble was with `FTP v0.7' but i'd suggest you
try the one from `Apps.ZIP'. Perhaps this may work for you as well. :)
Not every `Apps' archive is the same, you will have to try many of them.
;-)
GG> ...I just hate to see the talk sink to the level of "My OS is better
GG> than yours 'cause I can do XYZ and you can only ABC"...
I'm no "power-user" neither, if that's what you had in mind. Batch
writting is no fun, as far as i'm concerned, especially if accidents may
happen which might force me to re-dial, reconnect to my ~ISP~, or worst,
to reboot the computer again! But the batch language is relatively safe
and accessible and even if a batch-helper is available this's not always
absolutely necessary. I like/use batch-helpers but i keep that to mind,
sometimes it happens that only a few batch lines will do the trick. :-)
At other times, speed is Paramount and a batch-helper becomes mandatory.
GG> ...I wrote this running Windows 95 OSR1, aka Win95 A, on a 486DX4...
I'm using a 486/DX-4 100 Mhz but this one has `MS-DOS v6.20' (Fr.),
i also have `WfWG v3.11' but i certainly wouldn't want to load if for my
correspondance alone. I might have loaded `IBM-DOS v3.30' instead but i
keep it for the LEGACY testing (and it doesn't recognize Hard-Disks like
mine because i use a partition larger than 32 Mb and no special driver).
I tried `W95' but since i'm not ethernal i prefered `WfWG', despite
the severe limitations which go with it (`W95' has limits too anyway)...

In any case, i like your ~WEB~ site and i'll bet you may have a few
sugestions to make about graphic editors for 16-Bit OSes, i'm curious!!!
Salutations, 8-)
