(From the lack of response to my previous message on this topic, I assume nobody will be offended by my posting of this information here.) They are getting a bit hard to find, and many come and go, but there are at least three well established mostly-free shell account services with telnet access. Check out (via telnet): * arbornet.org * cyberspace.org * sdf.lonestar.org All three have websites at the same address that will give you some more detail. Note that lonestar.org requires a "mini-donation" of $1US (5Euro), more to illustrate that you're serious than to generate profit. Of the three, arbornet has been the easiest to get started with.
