One idea might be to supply a bochs setup, with a preconfigured BasicLinux setup. Bochs is an x86/PC emulator that will run on many systems (mainly Unix machines, on whatever architecture; I use it on Sun SPARC machines, for instance; but also on Windows). It means Linux isn't really running on the user's machine as an OS, but rather on a virtual machine instead. Regards, Ben A L Jemmett.
