Yes, built in for virtual memory swap file use but the
hard drive and controller must meet certain criteria or
it won't execute.

No COMPAQ expert here but I'm using one right now.  AFAIK you
need software to access the 'bios' on a COMPAQ machine.  If you
don't have the software you will need to find it or download
it from Compaq's website if they still offer it as a download.

Ignore the part about having to create a 4meg diagnostic partition,
no one does and the machine will work regardless.  This one works
and so does my Presario with no diag partition.
