I took the hard drive out of a Goldstar 386 with Windows 3.1 and put in
in a Compaq Prolinea 5100 that lacked a hard drive. It will actually
run windows but it makes a couple of stops before it gets there. The
first time it stops it says 1790 Disk 0 error. Then I push F1. It starts
to load from the A drive but it fails to load the 32 bit disk driver. I
push the "Any " key like it says and it opens Windows.

Why is there a disk 0 error? It reads the C drive.
Does Windows 3.1 even have a 32 bit disk drive program?
How do I start Bios setup so it will load from the C drive?

Thanks
Jim Fuller
