Hi James,

It should be interesting to get that dual cpu computer
running!

They don't have to be exactly the same, but they do
have to run at the same speed. I have heard of people
using dual cpu with a Celeron and a Pentium III (One
of them overclocked by the way!) I suppose that an AMD
and a Intel should work if they are running at the
same speed. There is some info on dual-cpus on
www.tomshardware.com . There is also an interesting
site about dual cpu called http://2cpu.com/ .
As you may now the only feasible operating systems on
dual cpu computers will be either Windows NT or some
version of Linux. DOS and Windows 3.x and 9x will only
recognize 1 cpu. Also you should give the computer as
much memory as possible because it will be shared by
both cpus.
I have never seen or used a dual-cpu computer, but
I've heard that it will perform at the same speed as a
1 cpu computer except when using programs specially
designed for dual-cpu. Multitasking is also supposed
to be much better.

Good luck,

Inigo
