Hi,
I read that ipchaining has replaced ipforwarding
to do ip masquerading with a couple of machines.
I lucked out and got it to work.
My router is connected with a 33.6 modem, and
my lan machine is connected thru a
10 M/sec ethernet.
I'm getting download speeds of large files on my
masqueraded lan machine of 1.5K/sec , which
is about half my 33.6 bandwidth.
I have the setserial on the com port set to
spd_vhi and my ppp0 MYU is 1514.
So is this about the download speed that I should expect,
even if my router isn't using any bandwidth, i.e. idle?
Could I ever expect to get the full 33.6 bandwidth
on the masqueraded machine?
Or is there something that I can adjust?
