Hi Nick,
I compiled vanilla 2.4.20 from ftp.kernel.org. All other things stem from
SuSE "as-is". I do not know too much about the nfs system that comes with
SuSE - simply use it. Should I get newer ones / recompile?
The root partitition is an ext2 on an external raid-array (Promise
Controller).
One other thing that I really do not understand is the Error reading kernel
symbols - what does that mean?
Many thanks for you inputs,
take care
Dieter Jurzitza
