Ishmael was the son of Sarah's handmaiden. He is the father of non-Jewish Semites. Isaac is the father of Jewish Semites or Hebrews. 80% of modern Jewry is non-Semitic thus the inheritance of Palestine is somewhat a weak claim. The Christians are of any tribe. It is a spiritual birth. There is no Jew or Gentile (other nations) in Christ. People who say they are both don't quite understand what they are saying.
Since Jew and Moslem are both religions either bloodline may have crossed in actuality. A descendant of Isaac may be a Moslem. At this late date I think it difficult to know one's geneology exactly.
