Ivan Illich died on Monday, Dec. 2 in Bremen, Germany, at age 76. His classic "Energy and Equity" is one of the most brilliant and thought-provoking pieces on transportation ever written. It remains as relevant today as in 1973, when it was first published in Le Monde. http://www.carbusters.org/freesources/EnergyandEquity.php
