Don't know about Todd's age and TV viewing habits, but this may or may not be a variant of the circa 1990 pop culture phrase "Homey don't play dat." Homey the Clown was a disaffected ex-con turned children's clown played by Damon Wayans on the sketch comedy show In Living Color. Homey's typical response to pretty much everything was "I don't think so...Homie don't play dat!" This ends today's lesson in Americana.
