A very interesting story.

I found particularly credible the line of reasoning that Mom and Pop will 
believe in a Google browser - see http://www.kottke.org/04/08/the-google-browser

It will be interesting to see what develops.

I didn't see anything specifically about SVG support. But it's certainly not 
impossible. :)
