Maybe I'm missing something, but I didn't see anything new on the Adobe
site nor any specific reaffirmation of support...just a
facelift/redesign of the site with the same content.

I hadn't realized Adobe updated their SVG site...It had been unchanged 
for years!
I was pleased to see Adobe finally re-affirm their SVG commitment.
