There is one key difference:

Corel is not being developed any more, but it has zero chance of being 
superceded with a downgraded version of the same. With ASV, there is every 
chance that it suddenly dissapears from your client desktops and is replaced 
with ASV4, or Acrobat8, which supports flash, pdf, and SVGt but no SVG.

But that said, SVGt on all platforms is a great opportunity for everyone 
except the contend developers who built around the high-end SVG capabilities 
like clipping, filters, and measurement units.
