Yes, but is it not also true that third parties will not be able to 
distribute it after EOL? 

My company is currently in the early stages of implementing a 
commercial solution using SVG. As the customer uses Internet 
Explorer we have no option other than to use the ASV plug-in. We 
will be releasing before the end of this year, so this will not pose 
a problem for us in this case. 

However, after 2008/9, I assume that if the customer specifies that 
the supported browser must be Internet Explorer, SVG is not a viable 
solution, unless IE 8 includes native support, or someone else picks 
the development and support of an IE plugin?
