Please excuse my caution here, but last time I upgraded something Microsoft-ish (IE6 to IE7) certain things in my SVG arsenal stopped working. I am a bit hesitant now. Let me provide some context:
An on-campus committee I'm on makes recommendations about campus software. One of the things we're considering is a product called Microsoft Expressions -- I gather it is the new-generation replacement for Front Page. Anyhow, when I go to install the free trial of this product, it tells me I must first install Microsoft Silverlight. I don't really want to do this if it is likely to break any of my existing SVG functions. I understand that in order to dis-install IE7, for example, one needs a permission slip from the Secretary General of the UN that is also signed by the head of NATO -- perhaps I am exaggerating -- I am naive. But I do know that certain decisions in life, seem to be irreversible. So, the question -- has anyone who has installed Silverlight noticed any loss of function in SVG? Loss of feeling in the extremities? Sudden unexplained digestive distress? Random letters popping up between the S and the V and the G, or e#traneous pound sign#s when you type? Anything I should know about? thanks David ----- To unsubscribe send a message to: [EMAIL PROTECTED] -or- visit http://groups.yahoo.com/group/svg-developers and click "edit my membership" ---- Yahoo!
