connections: allocate SPDs during orient()
as that is when everything needed to build the SPDs
is known (for instance, addresses are resolved)

connections: delay allocating SPDs until orientation
It's only once oriented that all the information is available.

acquire: in find_connection_for_packet() don't consider disoriented
also don't try to log ->spd
