Yes, but that doesn't mean it has to go on in ours. This mailing list has several prominent people of the software collecting movement as members, and I don't think it's a stretch to say that, if we all acted in unison, we could strongly influence the state of software collecting today. So, (slaps Dan on the wrist again)


BTW, if it sounds like I'm mad or harboring something, I'm not. I'm just presenting one side of the debate. Belive me, I have a lot of software that goes for $5 today and would have gone for $40 4-5 years ago... price fixing would help me earn some cash. But I'm not willing to trade my morals and ethics for it :)
