Without looking at the AlltheWebMenus previous version and current to spot differences I couldn't identify why it was causing issues. Mixing different js libraries is always fraught with danger as they can overwrite functions or events which another library is expecting.
As we didn't change anything on our end, it might be worthwhile asking the AlltheWebMenus guys as to what was changed between the two versions. When I removed this line of code just after the body tag the swfobject worked. I then downloaded the latest version of the ATWM and recompliled my menu, uploaded it and they both worked happily in unison. The version history does mention any fixes to substantiate why it worked but as it does I am grateful. I had thought it was all the 'Nifty' and or 'Lightbox js code files but the problem still existed with all these removed and only teh swfobject as a script code in the head. It was then I thought about the ATWM script tag after the body code. If you could explain what this was or how it was fixed it would be a bonus, as I would know what to look out for when using it on other sites with variuos js code.
