Have a read up on what express install does if you want to know how to
seamlessly upgrade users Flash players.

If you do not know what the parameters passed in actually mean, a quick read
of the documentation will help you out.

BTW - that code snippet is using the old SWFObject 1.x notation. We no
longer actively support the old 1.x codebase, so I suggest you have a look
through the 2.x docs and examples.

Subject: What do I need to do in order to force a Flash player update?

If I call SWFObject like this:

<script type="text/javascript">
var so = new SWFObject('http://www.domain.com/player-
viral.swf','mpl','576','354','9');

do I have to do anything else to force an update to Flash Player 9?

I just want to make sure users have a reasonably current version of
Flash so there is no trouble with the videos I am presenting.

What is recommended minimum version today for full-screen .mp4 video?

Also, what does the "mpl" stand for?

Thanks for your help
