Michael.

The 1.5 release of SWFObject still works, and if you are more comfortable with
it that 2.x, then you can use that. It would take some work for the JW media
player team to re-write their configuration wizard to adhere to the new 2.x
notation, so I figure it is a lack of time thing for those guys. That being
said, it would be great for you to make some noise on that front as it means we
field questions from users like yourself for old code (2.0 was released over a
year ago now)

If you quickly want to know what the parameters are in 1.x, have a look here:

The “mpl” you were asking about is the ID that will be associated with your swf
file on the page. If you are using any CSS or javascript to gain access on the
swf, you need this id to, well, identify the object on the page.

Cheers,

Aran

Thanks Aran,

I grabbed that code just yesterday from Longtail Video, the developers of the
JW Mediaplayer, so their wizard must be out of date. Perhaps someone from
SWFObject should contact them if they are still promoting the old code base?

I'll look into Express Install and the docs tonight. Thanks.
