The proper terminology to explain things would be this: you can use SWFObject (a JavaScript library) to embed a .SWF asset (a file) onto a page in a browser... once that .SWF file is successfully embedded onto a page, that .SWF file can then load a separate .FLV video file and play it.
SWFObject is just a tool for getting any abitrary .SWF asset onto a page... what the .SWF does after that is not really our concern. --Kyle From: Chris Sent: Friday, January 08, 2010 10:49 AM To: [email protected] Subject: RE: Converters ? Thanks Kyle and Jim - I'm just starting out on this film stuff - can you tell ;-) So, am I right in saying, that you can use a swfobject with a .flv file ?
