I downloaded and tried compiling the same version as you've got. The file
Vector GraphicOutputDev.cc is missing from the pdf directory, and that isn't
the only
one.

All looks to be aok in the latest Git ( though you'll need xpdf-*tar.gz as well
).
Give it a try,
git clone git://git.swftools.org/swftools
I have 2010-08-14-1108 installed here. That one is fine as well.
