All: Xiaodi has pointed out that the existing Unicode emoji set pulls in a host of stuff we don't want. My bad for failing to adequately understand what that file represented.
We can either pull in selected blocks with appropriate sanity filters or possibly consider adopting the Unicode pictographics. I'll look at cleaning this up in the morning. If somebody has put forth a clean proposal by then, so much the better. Jonathan
