You're absolutely right about everything you've said.

I'll take a look at your patches.

Speaking about InternalFrames, I have a whole project in pending state that uses native Metacity libraries for rendering internal frames. There are no problems with transparent borders, buttons, theme switching there. By now it works on Linux with Metacity 2.18. I didn't have time to port the native sources to Solaris. It's in pending state because my priorities have changed recently. Some day I'll get back to it.

Instead of paying open-source contributors Sun should better pay a few
more engineers, the existing one don't seem to be able to respond
anytime soon and often bug-reports and patches get lost. I contribute
because I like OpenJDK, but if nobody even notices about my patch -
why should I invest my time?
