Just a little follow-up to the previous thread regarding "ADSL tunnels down": IOS
12.3.1a seems to have a bug.

Here the details: in our setup (IOS 12.3.1a terminating ADSL L2TP tunnels, with 2
loopback interfaces), after an unspecified period of time, the loopback interfaces
seem to "forget" their IP address. After that, in "show running" you only see the
following:

interface Loopback0
 !
 interface Loopback1
!

(notice that "interface Loopback1" is aligned as if it were a sub-configuration
command of "interface Loopback1").

If you issue "show int lo0" (or lo1) the IP address is still there, though. It's only
lost in the configuration. If you try to re-enter the IP address, it still doesn't
show up.

If for some reason you execute a "write mem" at this point, the configuration is saved
without loopbacks, and after a reload, the LNS will stop working.

For this reason, we've reverted back to IOS 12.2(11)T9. I hope this can help someone.

regards
-Manuel
