Hi together In the winter semester will be startet for the medical students a project with live videostreaming with real player. Over our firewall are some performance problems. The stream from the codec to the akamai server doesn't reach the necessary bandwith. The external operator of this streaming box doesn't has any knowledge about the streaming protocols in the tcp ip enviroment.
We will do some tests without firewall direct in the internet, but i mean it should also work over the firewall enviroment. It is a cluster and a normal ftp download can rich more then needed for videostreaming. Does anyone know who has any knowledge in streaming protocols, or is there any good website about this?
