| are some performance problems. The stream from the codec to the
| akamai server doesn't reach the necessary bandwith.

What kind of problems do you have?
- - does the stream die?
- - TCP or UDP streams? In case of UDP the _server_ opens a TCP
connection to the client (once or periodically)
~ to see if the client is reeceiving any data.
- - some firewalls have problems with UDP (buffers filling up, unable to
track a "connection")
~ normally you need a real proxy

| We will do some tests without firewall direct in the internet, but i

| Does anyone know who has any knowledge in streaming protocols, or is
| there any good website about this?

Don't know a website, but on real's site you should find some information.
I could ask our people who set up and operate real servers in our company
(we did stream international concerts from Montreux Jazz festival and
others, sports events)
