Hello Guido If you understand german i can explain better in german offlist.
> What kind of problems do you have? > - - does the stream die? no > - - TCP or UDP streams? In case of UDP the _server_ opens a TCP > connection to the client (once or periodically) The problem seems to be with TCP and or UDP streams. And i know we've got enough bandwith for downloading some files from switch sunsite. > ~ to see if the client is reeceiving any data. > - - some firewalls have problems with UDP (buffers filling up, unable to > track a "connection") > ~ normally you need a real proxy They made some tests also outside on our firewall and there seems to be also the same problem. They are looking know with the network engineer of the university of zurich. We are behind of this network. The 160kb download stream is sometimes buffering. It seems the speed between the codec and the akamay server is not enough or there are to many hops. > Don't know a website, but on real's site you should find some information. > I could ask our people who set up and operate real servers in our company > (we did stream international concerts from Montreux Jazz festival and > others, sports events) OK. Thanks for your answer. I would response, if i need more help. Matthias Leisi wrote me, that there is an linux variant of the helix server. Probably i will test with it.
