yes that is true, but the client will overwrite my resolv.conf file 
and it overwrites _all_ my settings (like my own domain search list)
I hate to type `ssh myhost.mydomain.tdl`  I'like `ssh myhost` :)

that would be the only solution. and one time in the future, the 
nameservers won't answer queries from a client without a clean 
reverse delegation (as it is for some smtp-hosts).
