A heart-felt thank you from Rob and I for a great Fest! We so enjoyed yourselves. Thanks for being great hosts and warm and welcoming to us.
We were at an event in Wyomissing the next day and we told them all about the Fest. There were several people really excited to know it was in their neck of the woods but sorry they had missed it. We told them to keep an eye out for next year. One woman told us how she always wanted to be a short-waver but just didn't get to it. Hopefully you'll see her there next year. A special thank you to Richard and John. I sincerely appreciate you opening the doors to me. We had such a great time. I slept most of Sunday...probably a combined five hours of nap before the day was done. Guess that is what happens when one crosses the ripe old age of 25 like me. Thanks for your help in supporting the Fest -- always a good sight to see the table with books and components available for purchase! Hope everyone has an enjoyable spring and summer -- it sure felt like spring here yesterday with a high temperature of 55F / 13C. Watch this space for news as we firm up plans for the 2011 Fest -- the dates are already set as March 4-5, 2011. That much you can put on your calendars! I usually do not go Route 202 but I made good time. I had the Scrapple Special. Great fest again this year. Lisa Spahr's presentation was great. Looking forward to next year. 73 Eric ----- Start Original Message ----- Sent: Mon, 8 Mar 2010 03:40:07 -0800 (PST) From: Sheldon Harvey <[email protected]> To: [email protected] Subject: [Swlfest] Thanks from Canada > > A big thank you to all those involved in the organization and > execution of another great Winterfest. Also many thanks to the both of you: Sheldon, for so respectfully and eloquently voicing our collective tribute to those no longer able to be with us as well as Radio HF's presence and donations to the raffle and silent auction; Eric, for your setting up and supervision of the DRM table and demo this year as well as the "bridge" to better wifi performance within the hotel. Both of you are excellent examples of how that willingness to just pitch in where needed is such a vital hallmark of the Fest and its success year after year. The irony is that I won a nice Eton at the banquet, and _/then/_ needed one of your connectors! Sightings of Bald Eagles are becoming increasingly common here in Syracuse because we have a number of nesting pairs. The City is thinking of setting up an observation site on the edge of the lake where they feed. Regards, Frank -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed...
