Hello,

There is more to history than the mainstream narrative. History is as broad as
human experience since it is recorded human experience.

I found the talks that Harold Cones has done on Zenith Radio and Eugene F.
McDonald interesting. Since I am interested in radio I tend to find radio
history interesting. I hope the Fest will continue to have talks on
radio-related history.

Some things we think are recent actually go back further. They are either
forgotten or lost in the sands of time. We did not think the ancient greeks
could build complex mechanical computers until scientists figured out the
Antikythera mechanism.

Today NPR had a story about the Air Force WASP program. A group of civilian
woman pilots who flew military aircraft on the home front during War War 2 to
release other pilots for combat duty overseas. Another aspect of WW2 that was
forgotten until the late 1970s.
