Hello, Thanks for posting this. I looked it over and liked the comments about the Logitech Squeezebox Radio. It is on sale at Best Buy so I picked one up.
So far I like it. The audio sounds great for such a small radio. I had some problems connecting to a couple of the international streams, maybe they were not streaming. No buffering problems. I tried some BBC and CBC streams. Right now I am listening to the Radio New Zealand National stream to hear about the earthquake. It is like a local radio station. I will be bring it to the fest and demo it at the DRM table. Having tried some of the other wireless radios at the Fest I will say this one is better. I like the separate volume and navigation knobs. Pushing the volume knob mutes the audio. The radio will accept wired Ethernet and I had no problem setting it up. 73 Eric ----- Start Original Message ----- Sent: Thu, 17 Feb 2011 11:49:07 -0500 From: Richard Cuff <[email protected]> To: Discussion list for the Winter SWL Fest <[email protected]>, ODXA <[email protected]> Subject: [Swlfest] Somewhat OT: CNet updates their wifi radio reviews > http://reviews.cnet.com/best-wifi-radios/ > > Several good choices here... > > It's your best standalone approach for listening to those broadcasters > that no longer specifically target North America: Radio Australia, > BBC, DW, RNW, R.
