Joe, call Housekeeping directly, they usually pick up that stuff. I left Ken's beloved desk clock in the headboard area of the Raddison Manchester when I was coming home from a visit with Sarah two years ago, imagine my heartache when I unpacked and the clock wasn't there. Turns out housekeeping picked it up and was waiting for my call.
My experience on lost items is that the front desk doesn't always know, but housekeeping has eyes in the back of their heads! I had the clock airmailed back to the house within a week!
