Eric, congratulations on your Racal RA-3791 acquisition. I'm looking
forward to seeing it (and your WJ-8711A) at the hospitality suite next year.
As for how they'll stack up against each other, for what it's worth,
my WJ-8712A (which came out of BBC Monitoring) overall beats my Racal
RA6790/GM (which came out of NSA.)

I considered getting a Racal RA-3791 before I got the WJ-8711A. This
DSP-based receiver is similar to the WJ-8711A, with interesting
features like up to 100 user-programable IF filters. A nice Racal
RA-3791 recently became available and I pulled the trigger. I should
get it within the next two weeks.
It is going to be interesting comparing the Racal to the Watkins Johnson.
