I like the idea of having a tagged Bible, where several different kinds of translation are there and the end user could selectively show or hide the different kinds of translation they want in different situations. It would be an excellent study tool. True some people wouldn't like it but hey they don't have to use it! ;o)
I also like the idea of a distributed online "Open Source" translation system... it would take a dedicated small core group of people doing a lot of work deciding what gets in and who gets what permissions etc. Again some people wouldn't like it but they don't have to use it either! Or they can jolly well copy it, break off and do their own modification based on the same principle if they want. The end users ultimately decide who they trust by picking where they choose to download it from. Sounds like completely the opposite of most copyrighted texts that are copyrighted to control the text and keep people from changing it. An intriguing idea to say the least. Dave
