Wow... if that's for real. My suspicion is that this feature needs to mature first in PHP, and then the symfony team would need to be comfortable setting 5.3 as a minimum requirement... I think that might be a while, simply because it's not widespread enough. I could very easily see this being useful in terms of the symfony core classes (ahem, sf*.class.php) and even plugin's lib classes.
