I can't help thinking that this would draw some kind of line between
serious PHP application developers, and the "rest" since the take up
of version 5.2.x is abysmally low at the moment even with projects
such as http://www.gophp5.org/. Take up of 5.3.x is likely to be
infinitesimally small among the majority of web hosts.

Whether this is a good, or a bad thing I don't know.

This kind of stance would hopefully foster more awareness and
hopefully increase the move to a more up to date version of PHP within
the web hosting circles.
