but i do want to raise the question if it makes sense to have non core
extensions in the standard edition. personally i am not so much a fan of the
frameworkextrabundle, but if we really want it in the standard edition, then
imho we need to move it under the Symfony namespace.
I'm also concerned about this, but its probably just a naming thing
that might come clear as we have different editions.
I am a little concerned that this edition isn't a Symfony Standard
Edition more like a Sensio Standard Edition. I am not wanting to
create a fight or get anyones backs up over that statement as I really
have no say in these matters...but as a developer who wants to
contribute more to Symfony core this is how it feels to me.
Wow, take it easy please. What makes you think that this is a Sensio
Edition? Because if you are going this way, just let's name it Fabien
Edition.
I don't get why you are so upset about this. Symfony2 is still a work in
progress. Documentation is not finished yet. And I'm really sorry about
that. But, please let's try to be as constructive as possible.
Fabien
alternatively we create the kitchen sink edition, where imho we should also
include the viewbundle.
I am a fan of viewbundle but I can't see the need for an "Official" edition.
I'm not sure what the thoughts behind the editions as I missed the
keynote but I would have though UserBundle, the CMF, any future
e-commerce bundle etc makes sense.
