I don't care either way - lot's of smart people already weighing in.

I'll just say that - in the documentation - I think we should be careful to
bestow the "a controller returns a Response" mentality first (along with the
request->response idea behind HTTP and Symfony2) before introducing the
shorter way to do things. As a concrete example, in training last week, one
user did the following in a controller that used the template annotation:

    return new Response(array('name' => $name));

I think this can absolutely be accomplished - it's all a matter of ordering
things correctly: "a controller returns a Response" first, then "you can
also get awesomely short and use annotations to impress your friends".
