Just because someone has already written an ecommerce solution does not 
mean:

a) Its the best or even good
b) That noone else should write a better solution
c) That it fits well with other frameworks
d) That the Zend way is the only way

Its always a pain trying to integrate something 'non-Symfonian' into 
symfony. (Im not a big fan of the Zend 'Framework' either).
