I wonder if roots(basic) should accept a basic expression or if it should
perhaps
give a tuple as a result. With the expanded capabilities of polys, you can
now get a
solution but may not know what generator it is given in terms of:
>>> roots(exp(x)+exp(2*x)-2)
{1: 1, -2: 1}
You will have to make a Poly of the expression to see what the generator
was:
>>> Poly(exp(x)+exp(2*x)-2)
Poly(exp(x)**2 + exp(x) - 2, exp(x), domain='ZZ')
Do you think roots should return (gen, dict) as a result?
