Do you think that it would be possible to somehow get a fingerprint of the repo before and after a commit is to be made and check that nothing has become uncovered? When tests are incomplete, it is possible that code was being covered indirectly by
something other than a test.

If such a "fingerprint test" could be done we would make sure that we are never
regressing in terms of what is covered or not.
